30 Years Later

He was an exchange student from central Mexico to Morris in 1979. Some 30 years later, German Rojas returned to show his family his "American" boyhood home.  In addition to touring the sites of Cooperstown, they looked up German's host families, attended a Rotary picnic, and toured Morris Central School. You can read more details of German's life in the September 14 MRC newsletter.

        Welcome To Morris

                                  Jaroslav “Jaro” Dlouhy

Jaro Dlouhy has settled into his new home in the Butternut Valley to experience life in America for a year.  The 17-year-old arrived over the weekend from the eastern Slovakian city of Poprad, a community of 50,000 residents at the foot of the High Tatras mountains.  Sponsored under Rotary's Youth Exchange Program (YEP), Jaro will be attending Gilbertsville-Mount Upton High School.  He was welcomed to the community by club president Gary Johnson.
